Installation of VirtualLab was done without a hitch. The program verifies your computer setup. It will also verify for some new versions every time you start VirtualLab.
The user interface is very well laid out. You will be able to choose all your options from one screen. I have gone through all the options and I do find them quite easy to understand. I have also noted to the author that there was a minor mistake with spelling within the interface and he fixed this issue in a very prompt matter.
I was searching for files that I have lost months ago on my E: hard drive. The program found the files I was looking for and many others I didn’t even remember having. I believe that the software found everything I have deleted and haven’t written over. One confusing part I found was that I was at a lost when I had to retrieve or “undelete” the files. When I was ready to retrieve these files, I wasn’t sure what to do or how to do it. I found out soon later that you need to purchase quota from VirtualLab to retrieve any files. The positive part of purchasing the quota is that you can see if you can find your lost files before hand. But it would be great to improve the user friendliness of this option.
VirtualLab does not sell per license but sells per amount of information you would like to reclaim. Now you tell me if those countless hours working in front of your computer to write a 100 pages essay is worth to you. If you ask me I would be willing to spend much more than the 100 dollars for 1 gig of data retrieved that VirtualLab costs. You can decide what you think of VirtualLab, I believe that this software is definitely worth a look.
